In the 2nd match minute, Kagithane FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Başaran Halıcıoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Kagithane FC's Orhun Beyazit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Piccone in the 5th minute of play. After 5 minutes, Hamit Tüzer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kagithane FC and the Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Hamit Tüzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Barcelona booed when Kagithane FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Başaran Halıcıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Carlo Sarnelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Armando De Palma hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Önder Tapgaç fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Damiano Pizzi, passed just outside the right post. After some careless play in the Kagithane FC defense, Alex Di Meo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orhun Beyazit. The Kagithane FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orhun Beyazit should have stopped the shot. In the 15th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Piccone to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Kagithane FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamit Tüzer. In the 22nd minute, Önder Tapgaç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damiano Pizzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Serkan Barın kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damiano Pizzi. That made the score 2-2 in the 25 minute of play. Damiano Pizzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürol Demirbaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Barcelona getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alfredo Basso hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrico Mazza during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Enrico Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ensar Ünsever recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orhun Beyazit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Di Loreto in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Kagithane FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gürol Demirbaş hit a great ball. Alex Di Meo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Önder Tapgaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Damiano Pizzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Önder Tapgaç to make the kick off. Kagithane FC's Burhan Hekimhanlı managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Achille Marra in the 57 minute of the game. Serkan Barın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Barcelona's Camillo Di Loreto got a free kick in the 64th minute. Önder Tapgaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamit Tüzer kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Önder Tapgaç in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Pizzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Önder Tapgaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Pizzi having to interfere. Ensar Ünsever blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damiano Pizzi having to make a save. Önder Tapgaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alvise Raimondi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona's protests and gave Alvise Raimondi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kagithane FC booed when Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Raimondi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Önder Tapgaç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damiano Pizzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Damiano Pizzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birdal Ergüç in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kagithane FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
