In the 8th minute, Gianluca Vialli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wei Li was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some careless play in the Dep Colonia Avellaneda defense, Gianluca Vialli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Octavio Gorosti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victoriano Bernaldo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Victoriano Bernaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jose Baldovino went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gianluca Vialli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Anastasio Maldonado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Anastasio Maldonado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darryl Buckner in the 32nd minute. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Darryl Buckner reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anastasio Maldonado. The goal made the score 1-2.

The wind increased when Darryl Buckner made the kick off in the second half. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 55th minute of play. Damaso Inge hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Gianluca Vialli fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falckner FC's protests and gave Gianluca Vialli a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gianluca Vialli hit a great ball. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Falckner FC's Octavio Gorosti. But to his dismay, Octavio Gorosti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Dep Colonia Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. Gianluca Vialli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasio Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Rosa in the 76th minute of play. If Gaspar Baraquiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Octavio Gorosti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jose Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Firme to maneuver through the defense. Anastasio Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Rosa in the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Falckner FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
