Varennes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Théophile Berger in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Goudreau in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Erbler saved FC Angst vorm Ball from getting behind. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Zahn in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Michael came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurice Odonnell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Robin Erbler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Zahn in the 27th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seth Luke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Robin Erbler made a huge save. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Zahn in the 36th minute of play. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Zahn in the 39th minute of the match. Gilberto Boone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthias Zahn went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 42 played minutes FC Angst vorm Ball got a freekick which was hit by Aabel 李伟峰. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Angst vorm Ball's goalkeeper Robin Erbler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Zahn in the 44th minute of play. If Matthias Zahn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute, Raphael Narr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Matthias Zahn made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Matthias Zahn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Matthias Zahn put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gilberto Boone. In the 62nd match minute, Varennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Nash to maneuver through the defense. Julius-Lasse Schwering could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Gilberto Boone made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joachim Krabbe got free with Gilberto Boone in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 75th minute of play forced FC Angst vorm Ball's goalkeeper Robin Erbler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Boone had great luck who in the 76thth minute grab hold of the ball when Matthias Zahn from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Köller, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute Matthias Zahn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Matthias Zahn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Boone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 82nd minute Seth Luke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Erbler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Angst vorm Ball booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Odonnell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joachim Krabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Angst vorm Ball players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
