With an all-out effort, Gracie Barra's Daniel Anaya threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hugo de Queirós, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Anaya came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Gracie Barra's Hugo de Queirós. But to his dismay, Hugo de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Pereira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falcão Cunha. Gracie Barra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Pereira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Ezequiel Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Pereira came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Bahrija Rogulj in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gracie Barra's Roland Danielsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Saldanha got free with Daniel Anaya in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Lobo Guará's zone, Augusto Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Anaya came out of the goal and Augusto Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Anaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Augusto Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Daniel Anaya made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's Roland Danielsson got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Pereira was the one to do the kick off. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gracie Barra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After some careless play in the Lobo Guará defense, Murphey Shipman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Anaya. The Lobo Guará fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Anaya should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lobo Guará eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
