The supporters of Gracie Barra booed when DIPLOMATA FC PAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Chico Donato made a huge save. Chico Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 22nd minute. Chico Donato was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Augusto Saldanha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Saldanha really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 35th minute, Augusto Saldanha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chico Donato. The goal made the score 2-0. The Gracie Barra fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's José Augusto Lara got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Pedro Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gracie Barra's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47thth minute of the game Augusto Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Saldanha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Lara in the 55th minute of play. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Olivier Gilg got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Saldanha might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chico Donato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Saldanha ran back to his position shaking his head. Chico Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niculae Martinescu. Chico Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niculae Martinescu got free with Falcão Cunha in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lopes in the 78th minute of play. Gracie Barra's Ke Feng Zhen was substituted for Augusto Saldanha. In the 82nd minute Pedro Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Joaquín Guzmán nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murphey Shipman in the 87th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Velloso took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chico Donato. Chico Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Wilton do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murphey Shipman in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the DIPLOMATA FC PAB players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gracie Barra.
