Fidel Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laffitte Rioz in the 6th minute of the match. Northern California's Fidel Hernando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Northern California from getting a goal against them. In the 14th match minute, Sporting Buceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urtungo Ramin to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Estebe took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Verastegui. Gaspar Verastegui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 19th match minute, Sporting Buceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laffitte Rioz to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Quinteros kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A hard shot by Mano Ramos from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Fidel Hernando's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 27th minute Angelo Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Verastegui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Estebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gaspar Verastegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Verastegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Fidel Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lobo Feliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laffitte Rioz in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Northern California booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ximen Rosser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fidel Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximen Rosser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laffitte Rioz was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute Urtungo Ramin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Northern California's Aurelio Quinteros got a free kick in the 66th minute. Carmelo Oihan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Gaspar Verastegui made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Angelo Estebe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaspar Verastegui, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laffitte Rioz in the 79th minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Northern California's Angelo Estebe got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Burutzagi's late challenge caught a Sporting Buceo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Burutzagi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Northern California's Samuel Burutzagi got a free kick in the 94th minute. Sporting Buceo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
