Caetano Monteiro was a little too slow when Lucrețiu Roşculeţ got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fabrício Rosa took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Codrin Encica. Codrin Encica dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 29 minutes, Gigel Căliman made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Berea Ion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 34 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Pitta. Gigel Căliman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Berea Ion came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Icoara Football Club booed when Club 23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Floroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

51 minutes into the game, Gigel Căliman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Caetano Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Club 23's Damian Bociort got a free kick in the 54th minute. Lucrețiu Roşculeţ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 66 minutes into the game, when Constantin Stelian put in a rough tackle. In the 66th minute, one of Club 23:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club 23. Codrin Encica was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Egídio Lucas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Egídio Lucas really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. In the 84th match minute, Club 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Bociort to maneuver through the defense. Codrin Encica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Roşculeţ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Berea Ion hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, Berea Ion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Icoara Football Club's Fabrício Rosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codrin Encica. That made the score 3-5 after 99 minutes of play. The Icoara Football Club players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
