Fidel Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Rune Wassenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Copiad's Wictor Ambjörnsson got control of the ball when Angelo Estebe tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, FC Copiad's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Teofilio came free, but Wictor Ambjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Ernst Levander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Hernando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Ernst Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Rune Wassenius scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Hernando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Angelo Estebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Hernando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrik Tinglöf went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Carmelo Oihan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northern California's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Oihan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wictor Ambjörnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Northern California booed when FC Copiad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiph Uggla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingvar Dalkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Angelo Estebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northern California's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Estebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wictor Ambjörnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the match, FC Copiad's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Estebe came free, but Wictor Ambjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fidel Hernando came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Copiad's Ingvar Dalkvist. But to his dismay, Ingvar Dalkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Bengt-Rune Wassenius was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. FC Copiad's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Angelo Estebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wictor Ambjörnsson was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 69th minute Angel Teofilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Ambjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erland Vibjörnsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Northern California. Carmelo Oihan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wictor Ambjörnsson. 1-6. Fidel Hernando made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Bengt-Rune Wassenius sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Burutzagi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kåre Nordal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fidel Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Northern California's Fidel Hernando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Northern California from getting a goal against them. 98 minutes into the match, Carmelo Oihan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wictor Ambjörnsson. FC Copiad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Oihan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. FC Copiad played a much better game than Northern California and deserved their victory. The Northern California players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
