The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo de Queirós hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Strand in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ingvar Strand's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falcão Cunha was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Ingvar Strand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gracie Barra's zone, Ingvar Strand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Cunha came out of the goal and Ingvar Strand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Augusto Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Reyo to maneuver through the defense. If Şamil Sağman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Cássio Corinth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 54th minute. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Strand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gracie Barra made a substitution. Jago Štriker replaced Hugo de Queirós. Red John S.K's Sebastian Bach was substituted for Ingvar Strand. In the 65th minute of the match Red John S.K got a corner. Gracie Barra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denílson Lopes ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Red John S.K's Cássio Corinth got control of the ball when Murphey Shipman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Cássio Corinth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Cássio Corinth made a huge save. Cássio Corinth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ke Feng Zhen in the 79th minute of the match. Cássio Corinth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murphey Shipman in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Sebastian Bach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Falcão Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute, Caetano Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Jago Štriker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Corinth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 96 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murphey Shipman. When the match was over Gracie Barra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Red John S.K throughout the match.
