An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 21st minute of play forced Clube Atlético Palhocense's goalkeeper Mauro Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Atlético Palhocense's Mauro Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 21st minute of play. Clube Atlético Palhocense's Mavrudi Dichkov got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Atilla Kağan Uzman came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Clube Atlético Palhocense getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ronaldo França hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Palhocense's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Gonzo came free, but Mauro Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Camillo Daniele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Octavio Gonzo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mauro Barreto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 48th minute Ludomil Rukszcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Clube Atlético Palhocense's Vânderson Guimarães in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mauro Barreto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Inocencio Veronica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Fernando França's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute Luís Fernando França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda de Mendonça in the 90th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Daniele. In the 94th minute Clóvis Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Clube Atlético Palhocense booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Guillerme didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rafaela FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
