The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Brănescu got free with Héctor Gaviria in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, River Plate.'s goalkeeper Héctor Gaviria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manole Brănescu. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Bordat Aries took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Héctor Gaviria to make any attempt to save it. After 11 played minutes Hope AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Pășcuțoiu. With a little luck, River Plate.'s Héctor Gaviria got control of the ball when Manole Brănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Héctor Gaviria came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Hope AFC's Codrin Ieremia. But to his dismay, Codrin Ieremia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Héctor Gaviria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Ploieșteanu in the 18th minute of play. Héctor Gaviria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Brănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Domingo Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 杨俊翀 having to interfere. When Hope AFC's Bordat Aries in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 39th minute, Torvald Halvorsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Ioan Ploieșteanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate.'s Héctor Gaviria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate.'s zone, Manole Brănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Héctor Gaviria came out of the goal and Manole Brănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingo Papo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hope AFC's Eduard Pășcuțoiu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bordat Aries in the 55th minute of play forced River Plate.'s goalkeeper Héctor Gaviria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate.'s Héctor Gaviria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Ieremia in the 58th minute of play. Héctor Gaviria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihăiţă Iriza in the 81st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hope AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while River Plate. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
