Hilario Sirvent struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Rodriguez Barriobero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slifer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciano Mendieta in the 14th minute of play forced Slifer's goalkeeper Julen Puig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Fuentes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Hilario Sirvent had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguez Barriobero. DeLorean FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hilario Sirvent was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Julen Puig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leizarraga Daroca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Furman Donis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Leizarraga Daroca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julen Puig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th match minute, DeLorean FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovando Depino to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orti Vilaro made a kick off. A collision led to DeLorean FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rexino Salinas hit a great ball. After some careless play in the DeLorean FC defense, Fabio Fuentes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodriguez Barriobero. The DeLorean FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodriguez Barriobero should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciano Mendieta in the 59th minute of play forced Slifer's goalkeeper Julen Puig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, DeLorean FC's Rexino Salinas got a free kick in the 61st minute. Julen Puig made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Leizarraga Daroca sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Slifer getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Fabio Fuentes hit a great ball. DeLorean FC's Ovando Depino got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th of the match, Orti Vilaro tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Julen Puig got in the way and made a wonderful save. DeLorean FC's Ovando Depino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julen Puig in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 80 played minutes Slifer got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Fuentes. Leizarraga Daroca might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julen Puig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leizarraga Daroca ran back to his position shaking his head. Slifer's Julen Puig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leizarraga Daroca in the 83rd minute of play. Oro Tella charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oro Tella the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Hilario Sirvent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leizarraga Daroca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julen Puig having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Hilario Sirvent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodriguez Barriobero was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 96 minutes into the match, DeLorean FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Sirvent came free, but Rodriguez Barriobero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DeLorean FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
