The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Palmitas CF's Rigoberto Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Fuentes in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match, Fabio Fuentes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rigoberto Ordono saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 9 played minutes Palmitas CF got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Oliviero. In the 26th match minute, Palmitas CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Handi to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Vicente Leocadio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julen Puig quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julen Puig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Leocadio in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Vicente Leocadio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julen Puig was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Leocadio to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Leocadio in the 50th minute of play forced Slifer's goalkeeper Julen Puig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Slifer's zone, Vladimiro Bertol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julen Puig came out of the goal and Vladimiro Bertol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Fabio Fuentes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Ordono was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. A collision led to Palmitas CF getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Emiliano Oliviero hit a great ball. Palmitas CF's Rigoberto Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Fuentes in the 58th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Slifer fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! 70 minutes into the match, Fabio Fuentes notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Palmitas CF's Rigoberto Ordono. Rigoberto Ordono was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Fabio Fuentes came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Slifer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Fuentes couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Slifer's Lucian Camino got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Slifer's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Grabiel came free, but Julen Puig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Palmitas CF's Julen Puig threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abelardo Grabiel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emiliano Oliviero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julen Puig having to interfere. In the 85th minute Virgilio Solo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ordono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Slifer had won after a very even match.
