Mito Angarev's late challenge caught a Oegstgeest Excelsior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mito Angarev helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Oegstgeest Excelsior booed when FC Vrabchevtsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mito Angarev didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deyan Krústanov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deyan Krústanov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Weinands read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Spiro Chalúmov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hette Ploeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Robin Lokin sped through FC Vrabchevtsi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Spiro Chalúmov. Robin Lokin scored 4-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Spiro Chalúmov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Hette Ploeger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Spiro Chalúmov was relentless in the 69th minute of the game.
