Ladislao Sengrat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodriguez Barriobero. DeLorean FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match Oro Tella sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rigoberto Ordono skillfully saved the ball. Rigoberto Ordono came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by DeLorean FC's Rodriguez Coracera. But to his dismay, Rodriguez Coracera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, DeLorean FC's Leizarraga Daroca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Ordono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Orti Vilaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rigoberto Ordono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orti Vilaro ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, Palmitas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciano Mendieta came free, but Rigoberto Ordono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguez Barriobero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Leocadio went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 27th match minute, Palmitas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Florinio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Grabiel in the 36th minute of play forced DeLorean FC's goalkeeper Rodriguez Barriobero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes, Emiliano Oliviero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmitas FC and the DeLorean FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. DeLorean FC's Godfredo Yebra was substituted for Rexino Salinas. The supporters of DeLorean FC booed when Palmitas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Oliviero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Furman Donis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ordono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orti Vilaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rigoberto Ordono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orti Vilaro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Leonel Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half DeLorean FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orti Vilaro was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Panpili Perana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Vicente Leocadio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguez Barriobero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Furman Donis got free with Rigoberto Ordono in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodriguez Barriobero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Oliviero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Leizarraga Daroca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rigoberto Ordono. Palmitas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leizarraga Daroca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After a rather tough play, DeLorean FC's Oro Tella got a free kick in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, DeLorean FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Grabiel came free, but Rodriguez Barriobero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Vicente Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguez Barriobero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DeLorean FC's Leizarraga Daroca got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Loco Moriz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DeLorean FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmitas FC the free kick. Loco Moriz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Leonel Mattin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, one of Palmitas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave DeLorean FC a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leizarraga Daroca, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palmitas FC's Rigoberto Ordono. 3-4. Rigoberto Ordono made an important save on a dangerous shot by Furman Donis in the 101st minute.
