Oegstgeest Excelsior's Jan Weinands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Pontes in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Ton Bogarde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oegstgeest Excelsior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ermidinha the free kick. The referee gave Ermidinha a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The wind increased when Robin Lokin made the kick off in the second half. Oegstgeest Excelsior's players were relieved. 54 minutes into the match, Oegstgeest Excelsior's goalkeeper Jan Weinands had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ermidinha's goalkeeper Hamílton Rosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robin Lokin succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. In the 74th minute Robin Lokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
