Naji Boughanem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, U21 Morocco's Winitran Fouhami got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cezary Jerzyk hit a great ball. After some careless play in the U21 Poland defense, Hamza Abdelghani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wit Bronkala. The U21 Poland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wit Bronkala should have stopped the shot. Emil Majtyka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Naji Boughanem having to make a save. In the 21st minute Emil Majtyka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naji Boughanem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The U21 Morocco fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when U21 Morocco's Aznag Tanjawi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emil Majtyka might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naji Boughanem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emil Majtyka ran back to his position shaking his head. Naji Boughanem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Majtyka in the 30th minute of play. Emil Majtyka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Naji Boughanem having to make a save. Naji Boughanem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Majtyka, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Naji Boughanem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Majtyka's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernard Trochowski during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 minutes, Winitran Fouhami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Morocco and the U21 Poland players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Morocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Winitran Fouhami didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Aznag Tanjawi came free, but Wit Bronkala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Majtyka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Naji Boughanem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

U21 Poland's Adam Walkowski was substituted for Emil Majtyka. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamza Abdelghani to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, U21 Poland's Adam Walkowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Naji Boughanem. Naji Boughanem yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Naji Boughanem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbyszko Mazierz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Walkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Naji Boughanem came out and tried to block the shot, but Adam Walkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 63rd minute. U21 Poland's Kasino Grositskiy was substituted for Bernard Trochowski. Wit Bronkala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamza Abdelghani in the 67th minute of play. Naji Boughanem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Mazierz in the 69th minute of the match. Naji Boughanem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbyszko Mazierz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbyszko Mazierz in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naji Boughanem saved U21 Morocco from getting behind. In the 71st minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Adam Walkowski went to the cornerflag to take it. Zbyszko Mazierz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zbyszko Mazierz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Naji Boughanem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Walkowski ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Walkowski got free with Naji Boughanem in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zbyszko Mazierz struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Naji Boughanem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Poland. A sloppy throw-in by Usem Mahdoufi in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Poland's Zbyszko Mazierz. In the 83rd minute Zbyszko Mazierz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naji Boughanem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naji Boughanem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wincent Wasikowski in the 89th minute. In the 92nd play minute Adam Walkowski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Naji Boughanem. 2-4. 95 minutes into the game, Wawrzyniec Cipinski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Poland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Morocco the free kick. Wawrzyniec Cipinski hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The U21 Poland supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U21 Poland would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
