The Sumaré Sport Club fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Sumaré Sport Club's Zé Trigo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Zé Trigo put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Juarês Corrêa. 28 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Trigo came free, but Juarês Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the 27 de Mayo defense, Zé Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juarês Corrêa. The 27 de Mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juarês Corrêa should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Zé Trigo sped through 27 de Mayo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juarês Corrêa. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 45 minutes into the match, Zé Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juarês Corrêa. 27 de Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. The 27 de Mayo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sumaré Sport Club were winning 0-13.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedê de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sebastian Brun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumaré Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. In the 53rd minute, Zé Trigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juarês Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-15. Zé Trigo didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-16 via right post in the game's 56th minute. Sumaré Sport Club's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-17 when Alfred Chmelyk sped through 27 de Mayo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juarês Corrêa. Zé Trigos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Juarês Corrêa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 63rd minute, José Vítor Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Trigo took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juarês Corrêa. Juarês Corrêa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-18. The crowd rose to their feet as Sumaré Sport Club's Alfred Chmelyk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juarês Corrêa. That made the score 0-19 after 71 minutes of play. 75 minutes into the game, Sumaré Sport Club's Alfred Chmelyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juarês Corrêa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-20. Alfred Chmelyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Juarês Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 de Mayo's Juarês Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Brun in the 85th minute of play. Juarês Corrêa was a little too slow when Alfred Chmelyk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-22. Zé Trigo in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juarês Corrêa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, 27 de Mayo's Carlos Eduardo Rossi got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Zé Trigo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Juarês Corrêa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 96 minutes into the game, Sebastian Brun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-23. Juarês Corrêa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Sumaré Sport Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sumaré Sport Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
