Dedê de Senna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Romário Dantas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Raí Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Armandinho Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Pernambucano came free, but Raí Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raí Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu do Nascimento in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, 27 de Mayo's Clemente Castro got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Meira in the 28th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Zé Roberto Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Laranja EC's Zé Roberto Meira in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dedê de Senna hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedê de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dedê de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laranja EC's Zé Roberto Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 played minutes 27 de Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Paulista. In the 61st minute of the match, Vitório Pimenta sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Raí Bertassi showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Castro during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Laranja EC booed when 27 de Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Cafu do Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raí Bertassi was a little too slow when Marcus Duarte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-3. When Dedê de Senna was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, 27 de Mayo's Dedê de Senna got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Hílton Cardoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romário Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hílton Cardoso ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the 27 de Mayo defense, Zé Roberto Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raí Bertassi. The 27 de Mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raí Bertassi should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Pernambucano came free, but Raí Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match Renato Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romário Dantas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 27 de Mayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Raí Bertassi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Roberto Meira. In the 91st minute, Zé Roberto Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Roberto Meira's late challenge caught a 27 de Mayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Roberto Meira helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Duarte got free with Raí Bertassi in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Laranja EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
