Alan McKerlich hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Lucas-David Min Jou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony McHarold skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute Garry Torpey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony McHarold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Port Edinburgh AFC's Tyler McThomas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Farid Mondragon. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Denis Morar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farid Mondragon having to interfere. Denis Morar let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 18th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Hack Hounds's Farid Mondragon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Hack Hounds from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute of the match, Tyler McThomas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Farid Mondragon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Farid Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler McThomas in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Port Edinburgh AFC's Facundo Nahas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Farid Mondragon. Farid Mondragon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Tyler McThomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Farid Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Morar in the 32nd minute of play. Tony McHarold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Aguirre in the 35th minute of play. Garry Torpey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Francesco Gaspari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Garry Torpey was the one to do the kick off. Garry Torpey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Tony McHarold made a huge save. After 51 played minutes Port Edinburgh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Nahas. In the 52nd minute of the match Santo Frantzes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony McHarold showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Hack Hounds booed when Port Edinburgh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaudencio Aguirre's late challenge caught a Port Edinburgh AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Aguirre helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Hack Hounds got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Aguirre. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Denis Morar sped through Hack Hounds's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Farid Mondragon. Farid Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler McThomas in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Port Edinburgh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Aguirre came free, but Tony McHarold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Nahas in the 68th minute of play forced Hack Hounds's goalkeeper Farid Mondragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Port Edinburgh AFC's Facundo Nahas in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hack Hounds's goalie prevented a goal. Tony McHarold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Hulberto in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, one of Port Edinburgh AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Port Edinburgh AFC. 83 minutes into the match, Lucas-David Min Jou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony McHarold. Port Edinburgh AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas-David Min Jou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Tony McHarold successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Gaudencio Aguirre took a quick shot and it went in 5-2 without a chance for Tony McHarold to make any attempt to save it. Hack Hounds's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
