In the 44th minute Mark Ambjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Craig Osborn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Wilson's late challenge caught a Challestone S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Wilson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Racing Club Warwick was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Wilson to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Ambjörnsson to make the kick off.
