Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Ortzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 played minutes Brasil off got a freekick which was hit by Dominick Van den Bossche. Heitor Ferreira made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Brasil off's Felipe Osoitz. After some careless play in the Brasil off defense, Laércio Penha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liu Chen Jian. The Brasil off fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liu Chen Jian should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tabby Rua came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Laércio Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Chen Jian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brasil off's Liu Chen Jian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Brasil off from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Ortzi in the 28th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Iguaçu MZFC's zone, Leo Ortzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickaël Maris came out of the goal and Leo Ortzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Carolo Cambranes hit a great ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Ortzi in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Brasil off's Hunfredo Hergueta got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Leo Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davut İskenderoğlu to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Ortzi came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Laércio Penha made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Leo Ortzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brasil off's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Ortzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mickaël Maris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brasil off's Angelo Grabs quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Olavo Costa, made in the 61st minute of the game. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting a goal against them. Carolo Cambranes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Liu Chen Jian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Brasil off getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Larra Barreira hit a great ball. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Ortzi in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickaël Maris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Olavo Costa hit a great ball. Leo Ortzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickaël Maris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Ortzi ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Brasil off booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davut İskenderoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mickaël Maris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Nova Iguaçu MZFC could leave the field as winners, despite Brasil off having more of the ball for most of the match.
