Aurre Belorado started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateo Pellegrino got free with Baiardo Combarros in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baiardo Combarros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Erroman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pedro Santana fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Furia Calamar's protests and gave Pedro Santana a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Furia Calamar getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Pedro Santana hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Aurre Belorado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Panfilo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baiardo Combarros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Erroman in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Mancio Rapela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caaguazu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mateo Pellegrino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Aurre Belorado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Panfilo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Panfilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurre Belorado in the 21st minute of play. Caaguazu were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Furia Calamar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valente Nieva took the corner. Furia Calamar's Damaso Panfilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurre Belorado in the 26th minute of play. Damaso Panfilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurre Belorado in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordareo Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes Caaguazu got a freekick which was hit by Cordareo Lazcano. In the 32nd minute, one of Caaguazu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caaguazu. After a rather tough play, Caaguazu's German Canado got a free kick in the 37th minute. Baiardo Combarros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Erroman, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Mateo Pellegrino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Cristobal Erroman took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Baiardo Combarros to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Caaguazu made a substitution. Gomesano Cantillo replaced Fortunato Barcaiztegui. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristobal Erroman was the one to do the kick off. Caaguazu's Mancio Rapela got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Caaguazu's Damaso Panfilo threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gomesano Cantillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Tadeo Tauro fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Furia Calamar's protests and gave Tadeo Tauro a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Furia Calamar got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Tauro. In the 78th minute Cristobal Erroman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baiardo Combarros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Cordareo Lazcano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caaguazu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Furia Calamar the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordareo Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Furia Calamar were the better team. Furia Calamar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
