Legia Stavanger's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Norberto Medardo scored to the left of an out of position Stein Naas, making the score, 1-2. In the 46th minute, Markus Tømmervik made a precise shot to the right of Zacarias Abreu. Black Rose 1979's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Markus Tømmervik to make the kick off. Zacarias Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Tømmervik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Tello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Legia Stavanger eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
