After 21 played minutes Punk Fiction got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Cefero. Gildo Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enzo Arotza's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Segundo Oinatz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred da Silva in the 28th minute. In the 28th match minute, Punk Fiction was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Valerio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Abelardo Salgado got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Couto got free with Segundo Oinatz in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremias Matorin hit a great ball. When Fidel Faro fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Punk Fiction's protests and gave Fidel Faro a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 played minutes Punk Fiction got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Faro. In the 87th minute Leonardo Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Oinatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
