If Ruperto Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Jorge Cristofol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PLUMIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Casado came free, but Osvaldinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diamantino Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Leonides Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Matteo having to interfere. Osvaldinho Marquez came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by PLUMIN's Maximino Casado. But to his dismay, Maximino Casado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Edu Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Matteo having to interfere. When Dudu Negri fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio FBPA's protests and gave Dudu Negri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PLUMIN booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldinho Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Osmundo in the 32nd minute of play. Osvaldinho Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Cristofol in the 33rd minute of play. Leonides Matteo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edu Veiga in the 35th minute. Jorge Cristofol took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldinho Marquez. Osvaldinho Marquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 42nd minute, Edu Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldinho Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Urtungo in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half PLUMIN were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Diamantino Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Rio, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Osvaldinho Marquez made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Maximino Casado sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Emeterio came free, but Osvaldinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvinho Perez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jorge Cristofol came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Osvaldinho Marquez could save by the left post. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Emeterio in the 65th minute of play. Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Cristofol, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Diamantino Barbosa scored 1-4 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonides Matteo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Maximino Casado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Osvaldinho Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute Jorge Cristofol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Urtungos short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Osvaldinho Marquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Cristofol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvaldinho Marquez. That made the score 1-6 in the 82 minute of play. Osvaldinho Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Cristofol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Flavio Emeterio took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Osvaldinho Marquez to make any attempt to save it. Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Emeterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Ruperto Osmundo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Osvaldinho Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PLUMIN. PLUMIN's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
