Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Osvaldinho Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Pitta's late challenge caught a Divina Comédia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A nice corner shot did that Váldson Lopes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Osvaldinho Marquez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Teixeira in the 39th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal and Amadeu Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Dorian Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Váldson Lopes hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Marquez made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Dieguinho de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. Osvaldinho Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
