Brickeen Wall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Valladares got free with Mohammed Cagle in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dorian Valladares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Mohammed Cagle made a huge save. Mohammed Cagle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Sanches in the 16th minute of play. S.D. Bajen's Brickeen Wall got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clinton Starnes in the 25th minute of the match. When Cristiano Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Divina Comédia FC's protests and gave Cristiano Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Furtado. Dorian Valladares's late challenge caught a S.D. Bajen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorian Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. Clinton Starnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rogério Ceni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson Lopes during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Odell McPherson to make the kick off. Luiz Eduardo Martins hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Dieguinho de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Cagle having to interfere. Mohammed Cagle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Valladares in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho de Almeida came free, but Mohammed Cagle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clinton Starnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Rogério Ceni made a huge save. Rogério Ceni didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Divina Comédia FC's Váldson Lopes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mohammed Cagle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Clinton Starnes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mohammed Cagle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohammed Cagle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dieguinho de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mohammed Cagle was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
