José do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Filipowski in the 8th minute of the match. When Eriberto Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAO JOANENSE FC's protests and gave Eriberto Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Vaz. 11 minutes into the game, SAO JOANENSE FC's Angelo Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tolek Pilitowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Angelo Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. SAO JOANENSE FC's José do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Percha in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zdzislaw Czajka to maneuver through the defense. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Tolek Pilitowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A from getting a goal against them. Eriberto Vaz struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tolek Pilitowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAO JOANENSE FC. The KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Dominik Filipowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Dominik Filipowski got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dominik Filipowski hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominik Filipowski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Filipowski to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the SAO JOANENSE FC defense, Nicola Zalewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José do Vale. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José do Vale should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Wiliam Matorin made a precise shot to the right of Tolek Pilitowski. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Pedrinho Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolek Pilitowski having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Pedrinho Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicola Zalewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José do Vale having to interfere. If Eriberto Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tolek Pilitowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tolek Pilitowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Matorin in the 81st minute of the match. Tolek Pilitowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAO JOANENSE FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
