Pedrinho Lara's late challenge caught a Cable a Tierra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Cable a Tierra's Arnaldo Hitz was substituted for Gogo Flores. In the 6th minute, Angelo Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Cosme Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Erauso in the 16th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper José do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Federico Bela made a precise shot to the right of José do Vale. SAO JOANENSE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Federico Bela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José do Vale having to interfere. José do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Erauso's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Cosme Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Turi in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Cable a Tierra fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Cable a Tierra's Cosme Turi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Angelo Erauso kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SAO JOANENSE FC defense, Cosme Turi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José do Vale. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José do Vale should have stopped the shot. After the first half Cable a Tierra were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cosme Turi made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SAO JOANENSE FC's Rafinha Furlan got a free kick in the 51st minute. Angelo Erauso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Turi came free, but José do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 55th minute of the match Pedrinho Lara completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pedrinho Lara a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Pedrinho Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Cable a Tierra's Cosme Turi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After having played for 68 minutes, Vinicio Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cable a Tierra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Gerazan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Filipe de Amorim hit a great ball. José do Vale didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cable a Tierra's Cosme Turi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-7 in the ordered_time% minute. SAO JOANENSE FC's José do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save SAO JOANENSE FC from getting a goal against them. Cosme Turi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of José do Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Cable a Tierra's Vinicio Gerazan in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAO JOANENSE FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th play minute Cosme Turi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised José do Vale. 0-8. In the 95th minute, Cosme Turi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cable a Tierra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Cable a Tierra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
