Eriberto Vaz struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Nicu Arghirescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAO JOANENSE FC. After 24 minutes of play, SAO JOANENSE FC's Wiliam Matorin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicu Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eriberto Vaz hit a great ball. Pedrinho Lara was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Sebastian Matei suffered a concussion in the 38th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Magalhães during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 43 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Horea came free, but José do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Angelo Magalhães was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. In the 44th minute, Angelo Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Matorin in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriberto Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Hulubei came free, but José do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Matorin in the 56th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Horea got free with José do Vale in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wiliam Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Romeo Ungur in the 76th minute really tested José do Vale's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Augustin Horea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when Club Sportiv Medgidia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Horea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, Club Sportiv Medgidia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Horea to maneuver through the defense. José do Vale was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Romeo Ungur. After 92 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Matorin. Pedrinho Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SAO JOANENSE FC had played much better football throughout.
