Seating: 597, VIP seats: 51) FC Kurdistan's Lars Bammerman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lars Bammerman scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Ekrot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Börje Stål in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Kurdistan's Roberto-Carlos da Silva. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kurdistan's Lars Bammerman. But to his dismay, Lars Bammerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Bammerman in the 13th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Kurdistan's Erhard Esbo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Ekrot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwan Kasiewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. FC Kurdistan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erhard Esbo in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Erhard Esbo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot did a great save. After 23 played minutes Vykans Vikingar got a freekick which was hit by Martin Mutumba. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Levander, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Keefer Carragher hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Mutumba in the 31st minute of play. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Kasiewski in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Jörgen Levander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Marcus Ekrot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, Leonardo Trancoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alaaddin Solskjær, 1-3. 44 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Levander came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Levander in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær got control of the ball when Mats Hermansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kurdistan's Jörgen Levander. But to his dismay, Jörgen Levander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Mutumba was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, FC Kurdistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos-Alberto Bayona to maneuver through the defense. Vykans Vikingar's Fernan Berart got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Ekrot made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Iwan Kasiewski sent off a good shot on target. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 56th minute of play. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Bammerman in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match, Iwan Kasiewski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcus Ekrot was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Bammerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. FC Kurdistan's Nils Hopp was substituted for Roberto-Carlos da Silva. In the 67th minute FC Kurdistan were awarded a corner. Erhard Esbo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Erhard Esbo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcus Ekrot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lars Sundström came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcus Ekrot could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Vykans Vikingar defense, Iwan Kasiewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Ekrot. The Vykans Vikingar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Ekrot should have stopped the shot. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Christoffer Johansson replaced Börje Stål. Lars Sundström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Ekrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Lars Sundström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcus Ekrot. Lars Sundström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. 87 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Sundström. Lars Sundström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Ekrot came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Sundström slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 96th minute.
When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Kurdistan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
