If Nicolaas Terhorst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doctor Strange in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Régis de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sport Clube Recife fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Sport Clube Recife's Doctor Strange looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With an all-out effort, Palmeiras's Percy Fernandez threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolaas Terhorst, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gualter Penha in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Régis de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Doctor Strange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. Gualter Penha scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Régis de Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Doctor Strange ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Régis de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 38th minute, Nicolaas Terhorst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Régis de Queirós didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sport Clube Recife's Doctor Strange shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Doctor Strange scored 0-6 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Régis de Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Doctor Strange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Doctor Strange made the kick off in the second half. If Doctor Strange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doctor Strange in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Régis de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luke Clist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Percy Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palmeiras made a substitution. José Carlos Simões replaced Luke Clist. José Carlos Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Fernandez having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the match Sport Clube Recife got a corner. Palmeiras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dong Yang Bang ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doctor Strange in the 79th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sport Clube Recife's 卓棋真 was substituted for Dong Yang Bang. Doctor Strange in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Régis de Queirós, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Şelaru to maneuver through the defense. The Palmeiras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sport Clube Recife's performance. The match ended with a win for Sport Clube Recife.
