After some careless play in the Grêmio RK75 defense, Cafu Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Francisco Tinoco. The Grêmio RK75 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Francisco Tinoco should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's Harold Tronconi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celsinho Capixaba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Marquez took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Francisco Tinoco. João Francisco Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Vila Nova GO's João Vítor Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Francisco Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 30th minute, Daniel Marquez made a precise shot to the right of João Francisco Tinoco. Grêmio RK75's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Grêmio RK75 were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Vila Nova GO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nilton Lira took the corner. João Francisco Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celsinho Capixaba made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Kaká Brasil sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Meireles in the 40th minute of play forced Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper João Francisco Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Tronconi in the 43rd minute of play forced Vila Nova GO's goalkeeper Celsinho Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Capixaba had great luck who in the 43rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Harold Tronconi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Celsinho Capixaba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harold Tronconi in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harold Tronconi made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betinho Meireles got free with João Francisco Tinoco in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Betinho Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Vila Nova GO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Meireles couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute of the game Dráusio Santos made a throw-in which Cafu Branco played forward. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, João Francisco Tinoco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. João Francisco Tinoco was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Betinho Meireles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Betinho Meireles really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Celsinho Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Tronconi in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Vítor Souto got free with João Francisco Tinoco in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaká Brasil's late challenge caught a Vila Nova GO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaká Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Grêmio RK75 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Brasil to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Vítor Souto got free with João Francisco Tinoco in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Francisco Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Guedes in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute Cafu Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Francisco Tinoco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Meireles's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Vila Nova GO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
