In the 53rd minute, one of FC Barcelona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Barcelona. Dezider Šindelka had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Cumhur Günay's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Herbert Pracki kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dezider Šindelka. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Carroll Mansfield was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's players had a chance to rest. Cumhur Günay was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Chico Pirok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belgrano LOS PIRATAS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
