GKS Katowice's Attilio Silveri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Bycofski in the 18th minute of play. The GKS Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Attilio Silveri should have stopped the shot. With a left leg Attilio Silveri saved GKS Katowice from getting behind. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Attilio Silveri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nieciece eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
