U21 Kuwait's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azulgrana 81 the free kick. Mnawer Al Sharaf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Pacifico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Mnawer Al Sharaf successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cirilo Peyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Masuod Al Jalahma in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Azulgrana 81's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sami Bo Shehri was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Kuwait's players had a chance to rest. 38 minutes into the match, U21 Kuwait's goalkeeper Mnawer Al Sharaf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Weather. In the 40th minute Masuod Al Jalahma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juliusz Sitko's late challenge caught a U21 Kuwait's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juliusz Sitko helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Azulgrana 81's Juliusz Sitko got a free kick in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Weather to make the kick off. Mnawer Al Sharaf came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Azulgrana 81's Sebastian Weather. But to his dismay, Sebastian Weather quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 63rd minute Sebastian Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mnawer Al Sharaf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Azulgrana 81's Şentürk Temel made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mnawer Al Sharaf was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osama Al Azmi in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Peyo saved Azulgrana 81 from getting behind. U21 Kuwait's Mnawer Al Sharaf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Pacifico in the 72nd minute of play. Mnawer Al Sharaf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şentürk Temel in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Prudencio Pacifico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mnawer Al Sharaf was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. The supporters of U21 Kuwait booed when Azulgrana 81 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliusz Sitko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mnawer Al Sharaf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şentürk Temel, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Prudencio Pacifico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mnawer Al Sharaf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Kuwait's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
