Işık Çağlayan started the match with the kick off. Işık Çağlayan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, Kizilay's Işık Çağlayan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Poyraz Oksay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nadir Vefakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Salihli's goal looked a bit too open when Işık Çağlayan came free, but Poyraz Oksay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Bektaş Ali Öktüre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salihli's supporters rose to their feet, but Bektaş Ali Öktüre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Recep Aysan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Recep Aysan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vecdet Duman's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nadir Vefakar in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Poyraz Oksay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Işık Çağlayan in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Poyraz Oksay saved Salihli from getting behind. Nadir Vefakar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poyraz Oksay having to interfere. Çelikan Tezcan hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Recep Aysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vecdet Duman in the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Kizilay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Erdem Bayazid to maneuver through the defense. Recep Aysan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Bektaş Ali Öktüre sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute Nadir Vefakar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poyraz Oksay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Kizilay's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bektaş Ali Öktüre fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Salihli's Vecdet Duman got a free kick in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nadir Vefakar in the 47th minute of play forced Salihli's goalkeeper Poyraz Oksay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vecdet Duman made a kick off. Kizilay's Recep Aysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vecdet Duman in the 51st minute of play. When Kadim Bekdemir fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salihli's protests and gave Kadim Bekdemir a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Salihli getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kadim Bekdemir hit a great ball. Nadir Vefakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vecdet Duman struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Recep Aysan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salihli. After a defensive mix-up in Salihli's zone, Işık Çağlayan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Poyraz Oksay came out of the goal and Işık Çağlayan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Bektaş Ali Öktüre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salihli's supporters rose to their feet, but Bektaş Ali Öktüre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Recep Aysan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 minutes of play, Kizilay's Işık Çağlayan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Poyraz Oksay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kizilay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
