After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Abdullatif Ergül got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some careless play in the Galatasaray defense, Keramettin Esay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sertaç Serhun. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sertaç Serhun should have stopped the shot. Sertaç Serhun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muharrem Yavuzcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Ahmet Fikret Erdurmus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Galatasaray defense, Keramettin Esay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sertaç Serhun. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sertaç Serhun should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Keramettin Esay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sertaç Serhun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pamukova SK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Akil Ülken 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. 30 minutes into the game, one of Galatasaray:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sertaç Serhun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keramettin Esay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nejat Uysal got free with Ahmet Fikret Erdurmus in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 played minutes Pamukova SK got a freekick which was hit by Çağdaş Belen. Muharrem Yavuzcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Pamukova SK were leading 3-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Nejat Uysal made the kick off in the second half. Galatasaray's Sertaç Serhun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray from getting a goal against them. Nejat Uysal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Fikret Erdurmus having to interfere. When Gazi Parshan fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Gazi Parshan a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Gazi Parshan. The audience was convinced that Keramettin Esay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sertaç Serhun was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Muharrem Yavuzcan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-5 in the 64th playminute. Ahmet Fikret Erdurmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tayyip Hakyemez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tayyip Hakyemez during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pamukova SK booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayyip Hakyemez didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keramettin Esay in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sertaç Serhun saved Galatasaray from getting behind. Gazi Parshan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Pamukova SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fehmi Haylaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Fikret Erdurmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nejat Uysal, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Pamukova SK's Keramettin Esay in 95 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Sertaç Serhun guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The Galatasaray supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pamukova SK's performance. The match ended with a win for Pamukova SK.
