In the 12th minute, Mirkelam Akşin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Patnos JK's zone, Akil Ülken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Behçet Salman came out of the goal and Akil Ülken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Patnos JK's goal looked a bit too open when Nejat Uysal came free, but Behçet Salman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nejat Uysal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Behçet Salman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akil Ülken, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cevahir Yılhan in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sertaç Serhun saved Galatasaray from getting behind. Akil Ülken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nejat Uysal struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Behçet Salman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. Mirkelam Akşin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sertaç Serhun having to interfere. Sertaç Serhun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mirkelam Akşin in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee showed Fadıl Mertoğul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patnos JK's Behçet Salman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akil Ülken in the 90th minute of play. Nejat Uysal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Behçet Salman having to interfere. Cevahir Yılhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sertaç Serhun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute of the match, Akil Ülken tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Behçet Salman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
