In the 3rd minute Bektaş Ali Öktüre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekrem Yağın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Arif Özgener's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Poyraz Oksay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Mehmet Arif Özgener succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğa Tefhim in the 11th minute of play forced Salihli's goalkeeper Poyraz Oksay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poyraz Oksay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doğa Tefhim's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Bektaş Ali Öktüre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekrem Yağın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Vecdet Duman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salihli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vecdet Duman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yağızhan Orus kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Vecdet Duman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekrem Yağın having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Doğa Tefhim notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Salihli's Poyraz Oksay. Poyraz Oksay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mehmet Arif Özgener could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Poyraz Oksay made a huge save. The supporters of Salihli booed when Yozgat SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giray Temizkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Vecdet Duman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekrem Yağın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salihli's Poyraz Oksay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Salihli from getting a goal against them. Ekrem Yağın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vecdet Duman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Doğa Tefhim made the kick off in the second half. Yağızhan Orus kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute Doğa Tefhim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poyraz Oksay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes, Salihli's Arif Egemen Yetişen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ekrem Yağın came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salihli reached it. Ekrem Yağın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vecdet Duman in the 60th minute. A collision led to Salihli getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cavit Şenyurt hit a great ball. If Mehmet Arif Özgener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, Salihli's Vecdet Duman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ekrem Yağın narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Salihli's Bektaş Ali Öktüre came free and shot a quick shot against goal 84 minutes in the game, fortunately Ekrem Yağın had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Bektaş Ali Öktüre in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ekrem Yağın, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Poyraz Oksay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğa Tefhim in the 88th minute of the match. When Mehmet Arif Özgener came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Yozgat SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Arif Özgener couldn't finish the play. Yozgat SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
