Salihli's Poyraz Oksay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Salihli from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes Salihli got a freekick which was hit by Olcay Osmanlıoğlu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nadir Vefakar got free with Poyraz Oksay in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bektaş Ali Öktüre made a kick off. If Mustafa Namık Sarif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Recep Aysan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bektaş Ali Öktüre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bektaş Ali Öktüre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Recep Aysan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 85th minute of the match Doğa Tercan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Doğa Tercan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 86th match minute, Salihli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doğa Tercan to maneuver through the defense. If Nadir Vefakar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kizilay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
