Ekrem Yağın made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Ali Emir Tanyolaç sent off a good shot on target. Mustafa Orhan Sadreddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ekrem Yağın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yozgat SK's zone, Mustafa Orhan Sadreddin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekrem Yağın came out of the goal and Mustafa Orhan Sadreddin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Şenol Şafakgün charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şenol Şafakgün the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Etiler FK's Sabit Sabri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Yozgat SK. Yozgat SK:s Ekrem Yağın showed great skill when he stopped Sabit Sabri:s penalty. In the 13th minute, Sabit Sabri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ekrem Yağın was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Yozgat SK booed when Etiler FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabit Sabri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Etiler FK's Yetkin Midilli got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mehmet Arif Özgener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Behçet Başkara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Yozgat SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atıf Terzioğlu to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yozgat SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Sabit Sabri placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! With his leg Ekrem Yağın managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Etiler FK's Yetkin Midilli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 38th minute, Şenol Şafakgün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ekrem Yağın didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yetkin Midilli went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute, one of Etiler FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Etiler FK. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustafa Orhan Sadreddin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ekrem Yağın stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mustafa Orhan Sadreddin's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. When Mehmet Arif Özgener came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Yozgat SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Arif Özgener couldn't finish the play. If Orbay Balcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Etiler FK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sabit Sabri hit a great ball. Doğa Tefhim charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doğa Tefhim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Yozgat SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doğa Tefhim to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Yetkin Midilli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Yetkin Midilli came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Etiler FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yetkin Midilli couldn't finish the play. Mehmet Arif Özgener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
