A sloppy throw-in by Trần Thanh Bình in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ithaca AFC's Edward Posey. 41 minutes into the match, Ithaca AFC's Edward Posey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trần Cadeo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ithaca AFC's Edward Posey quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Edward Posey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Cadeo having to interfere. An Gian's Trần Cadeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Solomon Trimble in the 70th minute of play. Trần Cadeo was a little too slow when Solomon Trimble got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-1. When Angelo Young came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ithaca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Young couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Montoya in the 84th minute of play forced An Gian's goalkeeper Trần Cadeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ithaca AFC's Edward Posey in 86 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Trần Cadeo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 90 minutes into the game, An Gian's Nguyễn Tinh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The Ithaca AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented An Gian from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
