The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Kuzey Ongay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ender Kutalmış in the 7th minute of play forced Ithaca AFC's goalkeeper Duke Schaefer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atakum1453's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ender Kutalmış in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Atakum1453's Acar Aydemir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duke Schaefer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 22 minutes in the game, Casey Albrecht fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Evren Burçak having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Kuzey Ongay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atakum1453 and the Ithaca AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evren Burçak acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Brent Gallo. Casey Albrecht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evren Burçak having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, İlmi Eren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atakum1453's supporters rose to their feet, but İlmi Eren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duke Schaefer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ithaca AFC booed when Atakum1453 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berk Alanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casey Albrecht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ender Kutalmış charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ender Kutalmış the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ender Kutalmış kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Ithaca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vacid Şinas came free, but Duke Schaefer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlmi Eren hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Ender Kutalmış had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duke Schaefer. Ithaca AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ender Kutalmış was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vacid Şinas was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Atakum1453's Ender Kutalmış dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Vacid Şinas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Kuzey Ongay came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Atakum1453 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kuzey Ongay couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Casey Albrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evren Burçak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Young fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evren Burçak having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Rickey Cline hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Atakum1453 getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Atilla Kağan Derman hit a great ball. Atakum1453's Evren Burçak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Albrecht in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Ithaca AFC booed when Atakum1453 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilla Kağan Derman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Casey Albrecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Atilla Kağan Derman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ithaca AFC's Terrence Frederick quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Atakum1453's Evren Burçak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Albrecht in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Edward Posey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ithaca AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atakum1453 the free kick. Edward Posey kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Vacid Şinas struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Duke Schaefer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atakum1453. 97 minutes into the match, Atakum1453's goal looked a bit too open when Brent Gallo came free, but Evren Burçak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ithaca AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atakum1453's performance. The match ended with a win for Atakum1453.
