With an all-out effort, An Gian's Evren Burçak threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nguyễn Tinh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Atakum1453's zone, Nguyễn Tinh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evren Burçak came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tinh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes An Gian got a freekick which was hit by Lê Thuyet. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Vacid Şinas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atakum1453's supporters rose to their feet, but Vacid Şinas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Cadeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Tinh to make the kick off. When Nguyễn Tinh came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the An Gian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Tinh couldn't finish the play. When İlmi Eren fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atakum1453's protests and gave İlmi Eren a yellow card for diving instead. İlmi Eren kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Trần Cadeo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vacid Şinas in the 94th minute. The corner ended in Ender Kutalmış almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but An Gian's Trần Cadeo did a great save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
