In the 2nd minute of the match Huỳnh Tan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duke Schaefer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Ithaca AFC's Lê Liem threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Casey Albrecht, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 7 played minutes Pirroni-cum-Moze FC got a freekick which was hit by Trương Anh Hung. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Lê Liem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Posey in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's zone, Casey Albrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Liem came out of the goal and Casey Albrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Pirroni-cum-Moze FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Trương Anh Hung hit a great ball. Lê Liem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Young in the 27th minute of play. The throw-in from Avery Sears in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Phạm Hong.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phan Lan was the one to do the kick off. Nguyễn Viet made in the 54th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Huỳnh Tan however managed to control. Ithaca AFC's Duke Schaefer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Lan in the 56th minute of play. When Miguel Montoya came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ithaca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Montoya couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ithaca AFC booed when Pirroni-cum-Moze FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Lan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rickey Cline made in the 67th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Avery Sears however managed to control. 73 minutes into the match, Phan Lan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Duke Schaefer, 0-1. 76 minutes into the match, Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Montoya came free, but Lê Liem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brent Gallo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Nguyễn Hoang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Phùng Anh Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Viet made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ithaca AFC's Romeo Schulz. Angelo Young received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Lê Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
