Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phan Lan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, An Gian's Trần Hong Minh got a free kick in the 8th minute. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Phạm Hong quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nguyễn Nam, made in the 9th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, An Gian's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Lan came free, but Trần Cadeo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, An Gian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Nam to maneuver through the defense. Trần Cadeo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phùng Anh Hung in the 16th minute of the match. Trần Hong Minh's late challenge caught a Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Hong Minh helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Trần Cadeo threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Phan Lan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Nguyễn Hoang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An Gian's Trần Cadeo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save An Gian from getting a goal against them. After 80 minutes, Trần Thanh Bình mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the An Gian and the Pirroni-cum-Moze FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
