Nguyễn Nam hit a great ball. If Erland Gregersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Erik Bredberg with Kurt Björling as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An Gian's Trần Cadeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Kruse in the 38th minute of play. If Nguyễn Tinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Tinh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Johnny Haraldsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erland Gregersson was the one to do the kick off. Johnny Haraldsson came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by An Gian's Nguyễn Tinh. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tinh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Trần Cadeo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Georg Kruse showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. If Nguyễn Tinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Erland Gregersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Cadeo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. With a little luck, An Gian's Trần Cadeo got control of the ball when Erland Gregersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lê Thuyet charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Nguyễn Quang kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Joakim Björklund's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Trần Cadeo - 1-3 was put on the score board in the 81st minute. Joakim Björklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Cadeo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, August Fristedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guldozon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but August Fristedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Cadeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
