In the 55th minute Rei Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Rei Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Chiriac was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Rei Pelé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute Rei Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Benigno Abreu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lev Yashin. Benigno Abreu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-2. Club Atlético Atlanta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
